Saas Fee is a traditional Swiss village surrounded by a beautiful setting of glaciers and dramatic mountains. The entire village itself is a pedestrian zone, filled with old chalets, cobblestone streets, and amenities to satisfy everyone. Skiers and snowboarders can count on good snow conditions and the 22 efficient ski lifts for a fun time on the slopes. For those who love a long cruiser, there’s a 6 mile trail for you to enjoy.

After a fun day on the slopes, you’ll be able to return home to a luxury chalet with gorgeous views from every room. Unwind those tired muscles in the sauna or soak in the jacuzzi tub and take in the views at the same time. Take advantage of the professional grade gourmet kitchen and enjoy a great home cooked meal. The chalet is large enough to accommodate 8 persons, perfect for a large family or those traveling as a group.

Home owners Jonathan and Natasha are avid skiers and travelers. They love to meet people from all over the world. Open to any destinations, they do have a preference for areas in Florida, Hawaii, and Tuscany.

2. Ski In and Ski Out in Big Sky, Montana

Along with the adjoining area of Moonlight Basin, Big Sky is the largest skiable area in the U.S. on a single lift ticket. That’s 5,700+ acres of terrain, from the scary steeps to the family friendly groomers, and it translates to less crowded slopes too. Also a bonus, Yellowstone, one of the most iconic National Parks, is just 45 miles away.

This condominium is located right on the boundary of the Big Sky and Moonlight Basin areas, giving you Ski In and Ski Out access to both. How convenient is that. Your group of up to 8 persons can stretch out in 2,100 sq ft of living space. Oh yes, there is a jacuzzi in the home. You’ll need it especially after that 50 degree pitched slope.

Joel and Sandra use this property as their vacation home, so different types of Home Exchanges are open for them. They prefer to travel with their two adult sons, and no destination is too far.

3. Cozy Flat in the Southern Alps, France

The town of Dévoluy is located in the south-western limit of the Alps. The ski areas of Superdévoluy and La Joue du Loup have over 300 kilometers of marked ski runs and a large diversity of landscapes. It is one of the biggest ski areas in the southern Alps. Freestyle riders, be sure to check out “The Mushroom Park”, an entire hectare of bumps and banked turns. For those looking to a more grounded experience, there are 35 km of cross-country ski tracks. There are also fun snow gardens for 3 to 5 year olds.

This cozy apartment located only 50 meters from the ski slopes, is the second home of Franck and Florence. It’s available year round and open for different types of Home Exchanges. A long time member, Franck and his family has completed over 10 exchanges.

4. Mountain Home in the Central Pyrenees of Spain

The Cerler ski resort is located in the Pyrenees in the Benasque Valley, winning the 2014 Award for the best ski resort in Spain. Besides the usual selection of runs, they also offer a snow park for those looking to catch some air, and a ski-doo (snowmobile) circuit. Cross-country enthusiasts can visit the nearby Llanos del Hospital, where you’ll find 30 km of trails.

The home is located in a small village near Benasque, just 5 km from Cerler and 7 km from Llanos del Hospital. It is a beautiful stone house with a very modern interior. Surrounded by lovely natural scenery, the area is very quiet and secluded. It can accommodate up to a group of five travelers, and pets are welcome!

Fernando and Maria love to travel and are especially looking for an opportunity to visit California with their 3 year old child. However, this young family is certainly open to any opportunities.

5. In the Middle of the Action in Whistler, Canada


North America’s largest ski resort, with over 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, it is made up of two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The skiing is world class here and it’s one of the Top 10 Ski Destinations we wrote about previously. Every type of skier and snowboarder will find plenty of runs or parks to satisfy them. For those looking for even more action, Whistler Village is world renowned for its après ski offerings.

This condominium is located within steps of the Blackcomb chairlift and Whistler village is just a short walk away. It’s a warm and cozy two bedroom with a fireplace, and there’s a pool and jacuzzi in the building.

The owner, Sheri, and her two daughters love new experiences and enjoy great food. Both her daughters are learning Spanish and French in school so they would love to be able to practice.

6. Home in the Dolomites, Italy


Dolomiti Superski is a large ski area which includes 12 ski resorts in the central Dolomites, and with just one ticket it’s possible to enjoy all of them. Perhaps the largest ski area in the world, there are 1,200 km of slopes, with 450 modern ski lifts. Good idea to save on lodging so you can stay longer to really enjoy it all.

The comfortable home is located just outside the small town of Alba in a quiet development consisting of 10 families. Cable cars let you access 2 separate ski areas easily. The other areas are all within an hour’s drive. There are 3 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 6 persons, including children and your family pet.

Giovanna and her family love to visit European cities rich in culture and seaside locations, preferably in warmer climates.

7. Comfortable Chalet in the Austrian Alps


The ski resort Hinterstoder – Höss in the Austrian Alps offers a great number of ski-runs appropriate for skiers of different experience levels. There is a Sunny Kids Park for the little ones, and for skiers looking to measure their skills, there is a speed/cross-trial course and a world-cup race course. The cable car carries you from the village center Hinterstoder to the ski resort.

The chalet is 5 minutes from the main cable car and makes it possible to leave in the morning directly from the chalet on skis to the slopes (100m). This cozy home with fantastic views can accommodate up to 6 persons. After a long day in the snow, you can use the sauna for some relaxation.

Ignaz usually travels with her family of four. They have an interesting preference for next year, a berth on a sailboat in either Croatia or Greece in exchange for their mountain home. Since this is her vacation home, it doesn’t have to be a simultaneous exchange.
